SAO JOAQUIM NATIONWIDE PARK

The park is within the Atlantic Forest biome. It covers a region of forty eight,three hundred hectares (119,000 acres). It had been proven by decree on six July 1961, which is administered through the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation. It handles areas of the municipalities of Urubici, Orleans, Grão Pará and Bom Jardim da Serra
